Личные истории нужны в интервью, разговоре, экзамене и обычном общении. На B2 важно не просто перечислять события, а строить рассказ с сюжетом, деталями, правильными narrative tenses и короткой рефлексией.
Цель урока: научиться рассказывать историю по структуре setting → problem → turning point → result → reflection.
1. Setting: где и когда всё началось
Начало истории должно дать контекст.
- A few years ago, I was working on a difficult project.
- It happened during my first trip abroad.
- At the time, I didn’t know much about the company.
2. Problem: что пошло не так
- The problem was that we had very little time.
- Suddenly, the system stopped working.
- Things became more complicated when...
3. Turning point: поворотный момент
Хорошая история обычно имеет момент изменения.
- At that point, I realised that we needed a different approach.
- Then something unexpected happened.
- That was when I decided to ask for help.
4. Result and reflection
- In the end, we solved the problem.
- As a result, I became more confident.
- Looking back, I think it taught me to stay calm under pressure.
5. Narrative tenses

6. Narrative tenses checklist
В хорошей личной истории времена работают вместе:
- Past Simple — главные события: I arrived, called, realised, decided.
- Past Continuous — фон: I was waiting, we were driving.
- Past Perfect — предыстория: we had booked, I had forgotten.
- Past Perfect Continuous — длительный процесс до момента: we had been working for hours.
Критерий B2-истории: есть не только последовательность событий, но и причина, напряжение, поворотный момент и вывод.

Пример 1. Слабый рассказ:
I had a project. It was difficult. We worked a lot. We finished it.
Проблема: нет деталей, поворота и вывода.

Пример 2. B2-рассказ:
A few years ago, I was working on a project with a very tight deadline. At first, everything seemed under control, but then one of the key systems stopped working. We had already prepared most of the materials, so losing access to the system was a serious problem. At that point, I realised we needed a simpler backup plan. In the end, we finished the project on time, and the experience taught me to prepare alternatives in advance.

B2: Last month, I was travelling to another city for an important meeting. I had checked the timetable the night before, but I didn’t realise the platform had changed. By the time I reached the right platform, the train had already left. In the end, I bought another ticket, but the experience taught me to double-check updates before travelling.

Common mistake: не превращайте историю в список: then... then... then.... Используйте at first, however, at that point, fortunately, looking back.
