ФункцияФразы

Согласие и несогласиеAgree disagree scaleШкала фраз от полного согласия до несогласия.

Agreeing

  • I agree.
  • That is true.
  • I completely agree.
  • I think so too.

Soft disagreement

  • I see your point, but...
  • I am not sure about that.
  • That may be true, but...
  • I partly agree, but...

Важно

В английском прямое You are wrong часто звучит грубо. Лучше сказать: I see your point, but I think...

Расширитель ответа
  1. Say your opinion.
  2. Give one reason.
  3. Give one example.
  4. Ask the other person.

Example: I think public transport is useful because it is cheaper than driving. For example, I take the bus to the city centre. What do you think?

Practice upgrade: мягкое несогласие

На B1 важно не просто сказать No. Используй формулу I see your point, but + reason. Это звучит естественно и вежливо.

Soft disagreement builderПошаговая схема мягкого несогласия.

Типичная ошибка

I am not agree. Правильно: I don’t agree или мягче: I’m not sure I agree.

Примеры

Example 1. Opinion with reason

I think learning English online is convenient because you can study anywhere. For example, I often revise vocabulary on my phone.

Example 2. Agreeing

A: I think cities need more parks.

B: I agree. Parks help people relax and spend time outside.

Example 3. Soft disagreement

A: Online meetings are always better than office meetings.

B: I see your point, but I think office meetings are better for difficult discussions.

Common mistake

I am agree.
Correct: I agree. / I am interested. / I am sure.

Example: soft disagreement

Direct: You are wrong.

B1: I see your point, but I don’t completely agree. In my opinion, online lessons can be useful because students can study at home.
