Review vs report
Review часто более личный: I liked, I would recommend. Report более нейтральный: The aim of this report is..., Most people said...
Common mistakes
I recommend to visit this cafe.
Better: I recommend visiting this café. / I recommend this café.
The service was very bad!!!!
Better: The service was disappointing because we waited for 30 minutes.
Positive: comfortable, friendly, reliable, convenient, tasty, affordable.
Negative: noisy, crowded, expensive, disappointing, confusing, slow.

Example 1. Café review
I visited Green Cup Café last weekend with two friends. The café was small but comfortable, and the staff were very friendly. The best thing was the coffee, which was strong and tasty. However, the food was quite expensive, and there were not many vegetarian options. I would recommend this café to people who want a quiet place to drink coffee, but not to people who need a cheap lunch.
Example 2. Short report
Aim: The aim of this report is to describe students’ opinions about the school library.
Findings: Most students said that the library is quiet and comfortable. However, some students think it needs more computers.
Recommendation: I recommend buying three new computers and keeping the library open later.
Example 3. Better recommendation
Weak: It is good.
Better: I would recommend this app to busy learners because the lessons are short and clear.
Example 4. Same topic, different style
Review: I really enjoyed the new café because the staff were friendly and the cakes were fresh. I would recommend it to families.
Report: The aim of this report is to describe the new café. Most students said the food was good, but the service was slow at lunchtime. I recommend adding one more waiter.
